The next St Catharine’s Political Economy Seminar in the series on the Economics of Austerity, will be held on 18 November 2015 –  Sir Anthony Atkinson will give a talk on ‘'Inequality: What Can be Done?’’. The seminar will be held in the Ramsden Room, St Catharine’s College from 6.00-7.30 pm. All are welcome.

Ben Fine, University of Cambridge, will be speaking on the 'The Nature of Value'. The presentation will start at 20:00, with drinks available beforehand from 19:30. All welcome to attend. The Cambridge Realist Workshops are run in association with The Cambridge Social Ontology Group.

The newly established Greenwich Political Economy Research Centre (GPERC) is holding its launch conference 'Building an Equitable and Sustainable Society: Four Decades of Political Economy at Greenwich'. The GPERC launch conference will take place at University of Greenwich (Queen Anne Court, Room 080 (Grd Flr) Old Royal Naval College). Pre-registration is required for this event.

The talk by Dr Morten Jerven entitled 'Africa: Why Economists get it Wrong' will take place in Mill Lane Room 9.  

The title for this years conference is “The Evolution of Economic Thought”.  The conference aims to provide a platform for subject specialists to discuss a broad range of issues ranging from how schools of economic thought have developed through time, to exploring links between current economic thinking and policy decisions.

The talk by Professor Ricardo Reis, Dr. Angus Armstrong and Professor Wouter den Haan entitled 'THE FUTURE OF THE EURO' will take place in Mill Lane Room 2.
